My name is Wafa Navab. I am a psychological counselor, art therapist, and artist.
I hold a Master’s degree in Family Counseling and have completed numerous specialized trainings in different psychotherapeutic approaches,
including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. In addition, I completed a 160-hour professional Art Therapy training at
DPT – Deutsches Institut für Pädagogische und Therapeutische Berufe (Bildungsgesellschaft mbH)
and received a certified qualification in art therapy.
The combination of my academic background in psychology, professional training in art therapy, long-standing artistic experience, and a Master’s degree in Painting enables me to design and guide therapeutic processes from both a scientific and a creative, expressive perspective.
I was born in Germany, and my fluency in the German language and culture, alongside my Iranian roots and deep familiarity with Persian literature, art, and poetry, has given me a strong understanding of intercultural dynamics. This bicultural background, together with my ability to work in Persian, German, and Spanish, allows clients from diverse cultural backgrounds to experience a greater sense of safety, understanding, and connection in the therapeutic process.
In my work as a psychotherapist and art therapist, the individual—along with their life story and emotional world—stands at the center of attention. It is important to me to understand what a person’s heart and mind truly need, so they can find healthier and more fulfilling paths toward a more satisfying and joyful life.
In our shared therapeutic journey, we open new perspectives together. Honesty, transparency, respect, and trust form the foundation of this collaboration. Each therapeutic process feels like a journey—one in which I accompany my clients with full presence, dedication, love for my work, and deep respect. Along the way, we gently untangle inner conflicts, discover new possibilities, and explore alternative ways of being.
My intention is to build a relationship with my clients that is both professionally grounded and warmly supportive. I value each person’s individuality, emotional world, mental experiences, and bodily awareness. Social and cultural experiences are always taken into account throughout the therapeutic process.
I approach my clients’ lived experiences with respect and without judgment or interpretation. Instead, I support the development of self-awareness, the discovery of inner resources, and the cultivation of one’s authentic self. This process expands the space for conscious decision-making and creates opportunities to step out of repetitive patterns and move toward new possibilities.
My connection to art began in childhood, and today creative processes are an essential part of my work. For me, art is not only a means of expression, but also a scientifically grounded and effective method for self-exploration, emotional regulation, and personal growth. In my therapeutic work, I use art therapy as a tool to explore inner worlds, strengthen inner resources, and support the healing process.
In my studio and therapeutic space, I have created a safe and supportive environment where you can connect with your creativity, experience your emotions without judgment or external pressure, and begin a personal journey toward awareness and growth.
I invite you to approach your path of self-discovery with curiosity and courage. I am here to accompany you in finding new solutions, reconnecting with lost motivation, and gradually moving closer to a more authentic version of yourself—through the integration of scientific psychology and the transformative power of creativity.
